You’ve bought yachting magazines and done Google searches and are more confused than ever. You know you want to buy a yacht but even if you grew up in a boating family, there are so many different types built by shipyards around the world - and they all make similar claims. With such variety abound these days, it can be difficult to make a choice. Your yacht will be a substantial investment and that’s something you don’t take lightly, but you can’t afford the time to do research and draw up a final shortlist. It’s obvious to you that the yacht brokers and yacht builders you have spoken to are just trying to sell you something, and what you really need is someone to represent you, the yacht buyer. Sound familiar?
That’s where WWYMS steps in. We do n
ot sell yachts. We do not have a brokerage on our website and we have no intention of changing this. Rather, we work with clients to define, identify and procure their ideal yacht. We are experienced with power and sail, racing and cruising, monohull and multihull, modern and classic. Our reach is global – at the moment, we are working with clients to source luxury yachts for use in the Cote d’Azur, Dubai, Miami, South Africa and both the East and West Coast of Africa. Our current clients are interested in yachts ranging in size from 12m – 60m.
Our service is unlikely to cost you any extra, depending on the value of the yacht. The seller pays a commission on the sale and the buying and selling brokers come to an arrangement on how this is split. When buying a yacht, this is common in the industry – however, our difference is that we do not have any yachts for sale so there is no incentive on our side to steer you towards something that is already on our books.
We work with yachts costing as little as €200k. Depending on the level of search involved, we may pre-negotiate a fee for our yacht procurement service – on small yachts, the work we do might not be covered within the standard commission. If international travel is likely to be involved, we are likely to request a deposit, refundable when the purchase goes through.
We want you to be a client for life and to refer your friends and colleagues to us. We know that this is completely dependent on us wowing you when you deal with us the first time you buy a luxury yacht...and each time afterwards.
